    Vintage c 1920 Composition Jointed Kewpie Doll 11 inches tall.
    Condition is Used.
    This is the U.S. version of the Kewpie Doll that was produced after WWI. It is 11” tall, gender neutral (believed to be male) unclothed and marked with the heart stamp on the chest.
    Rose O’Neill’s Kewpie Doll was made famous by her highly popular cartoon comic in early 1900’s New York. This version of Kewpie was made in New York of a composition material which was believed to be stronger and more durable then the original bisque doll made in Germany. Smaller versions of the Kewpie dolls were often given as prizes at carnivals.
    This particular Kewpie Doll is in overall excellent shape for being over 100 years old. Please see photos for a better representation of condition.
