This switchgear lineup was ordered and installed in a biofuels plant in 2015. The biofuels plant has since closed.  This switchgear comes with a documentation package which includes the original factory drawings and instruction manuals. Along with the purchase you get up to four hours of free application engineering telephone support. his indoor Nema 1 4160V Switchgear Lineup has the following Specifications and Features:
Incoming Main Breaker 1200A Siemens GMSG 4160V, 40KA interrupting Rating, drawout type, part number 05-GMSG-0040-1200-104.
Schweitzer SEL-751A protective Relay on the Main Breaker
Main Breaker has 48V DC Spring Charging Motor, Close Coil and Trip Coil. 48VDC Power Battery Cabinet comes with the Switchgear for control circuit power to the Main Breaker
120VAC Space Heaters with thermostat.
Draw out tray for PTs, connected Wye-Wye 4200V:120V.
Main Breaker Section is bus connected to a 4160V Siemens Simovac Motor Control Center Lineup containing two soft-start starters rated up to 1000HP for each starter.
Overall approximate dimensions in inches: 95H 219W. Depth varies from 100D on the Main Breaker Section to 30D on the Simovac Motor control center sections.
The original configuration of the soft-start starters was for use on 600HP 4160V motors, however with modification to the CT ratios and replacement of the main 4160V fuses, these starters can be used on motors up to 1000HP at 4160V. For clarity, discuss this with our application engineer.

Each 4160V soft-start starter includes the following:
Schweitzer SEL-710 Motor protective Relay
3-Pole Fixed main line 340A Vacuum Contactor
3-Pole Fixed Bypass 340A Vacuum Contactor (closes when motor gets up to speed)
Two 3-Pole Fixed Mechanically Interlocked Reversing Vacuum Contactors. Reversing feature can be disabled if not required.
primary 4160V 6R Current Limiting Fuses Fixed Mounted, (Change to larger fuse for motors over 600Hp)
2KVA Control Power Transformer with current limiting fuses
Solid State SCR Power Section fixed mounted, 155A, 1000HP
Door Mounted soft-start LCD display and Keypad
Current Transformers, 100:5, (Change to different ratio for motors over 600hp)
Non-Load Break Isolating Switch with automatic shutter system, with external operating handle, padlockable in the OFF position.

The 1200Amp GMSG Main Breaker requires a 48VDC power source for operation of the Spring Charging Motor, the Close coil and the Trip coil. A cabinet containing batteries and a battery charger ships along with the Main Breaker Sections for this purpose. Pictures are available.
The switchgear is available for inspection, however an appointment for the inspection is required.
