    extremely RARE,
    French boudoir doll,
    collection accessory,
    circa 1920-30s
    .  Produced in FRANCE (
fully labeled on her ruff collar in circular, *
    red stamp label
    ) is this
    Art Deco
    doll head, Mardi Gras
    celebration baton measuring,
    twenty-four inches
overlong length. She is completely original with no additions and wearing her charming, pale green cloche hat with faded gold sparkles and multi-layered collar called a ruff (similar to those worn by
    French clown jesters
). Her beautiful face has finely molded and painted features including, long side-glancing, blue eyes with high lights and delicate lips. Around the base of her neck are lots of green faded crepe paper and gold sparkle streamers. She was meant to be held by the long gold painted wood staff at festivities and parades during Mardi Gras celebrations in the
    French Quarter
and elsewhere. She has no damages or repairs, no stains or odors and just normal fading to the streamers
    . *
